How To Use This Book

The book that you currently hold in your hands contains a vast amount of information about foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, and consumer defense law. While it is possible to read it cover-to-cover, you may also benefit from reading the sections that are most relevant to you first.

The Table of Contents contains the majority of the headings and sub-headings used in this book to make navigating its contents easier. Once you have found a section that is relevant to you, pay special attention to the examples that illustrate each point. These hypotheticals have been specifically crafted to provide “real-world” applications for the concepts discussed in the book.

As with any other legal guide, do not assume that by reading this book, you are an expert on the law. Consumer defense law is a broad field with many nuances. It is always advisable to consult with an attorney licensed in your state before implementing the strategies described in this book. Proceeding on your own can save you money; it can also be the worst decision that you have ever made.
