About Abbey Peterson
Abbey Peterson received her undergraduate degree (summa cum laude) in Communications with a specialization in Business Marketing from Florida Institute of Technology. She obtained her private pilot’s license and was a member of the Women’s Varsity Tennis Team all four years. Upon graduation, she received the Faculty Honors Award, as well as the Female Scholar-Athlete Award.
Abbey then received her Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Harvard Law School. While in law school, Abbey received the Dean’s Scholar Prize in Employment law, Family Law, and Food and Drug Law. She was a contributing author to OnLabor, a blog dedicated to highlighting important legal developments in the labor and employment world. She also participated in the Employment Law Clinic, gaining valuable litigation experience at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that uses legal advocacy to achieve racial and economic justice for underserved populations.
After graduating from law school, Abbey served as a Judicial Clerk to Federal Judge Gerald J. Pappert in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She then joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Washington DC as an associate, where she litigated labor and employment cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute. She also conducted anti-discrimination trainings, investigated sensitive misconduct allegations on behalf of employers, and conducted assessments of workplace culture aimed at cultivating inclusive environments.
She brings this breadth of knowledge to Atlas Consumer Law, where she spearheads training and serves as a subject matter expert for the employment intake team. Her main focus is ensuring a client-focused intake experience while setting cases up for success and optimal results.
